The Anant Design Entrance and Proficiency Test (ADEPT) is a national-level design entrance test open to all students who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Design at Anant National University. The hour-long online test evaluates a candidate’s logical thinking, reasoning, design/art knowledge and general knowledge.
After completing the online test, selected candidates go through a situational round, followed by portfolio interviews that evaluate observation skills, problem-solving abilities, drawing, visualisation, expression, articulation, academic background, intellectual curiosity, out-of-the-box thinking, achievements, etc.
Following Anant’s initiative of ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunity to all, ADEPT has been designed to be conducted in five languages, including English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali and Tamil. Anant is among the only universities in India that check for aptitude in creativity and innovation in languages other than English, democratising access to design education and opening doors to a broader range of talent.
