National Education Policy 2020 has recommended the introduction of design courses and the integration of design thinking into the school curriculum. Anant has set up CODE (Centre of Design Education) to create awareness amongst students and teachers about design thinking and design as a discipline.
The introduction of design education in schools promises to make a profound impact on students’ creativity, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as their emotional intelligence.
Anant National University, India’s first DesignX University, offers to address this gap in our school pedagogical system through specially created courses and workshops for schools across the country to help them implement NEP’s recommendation to integrate design thinking in their curriculum and realise its potential to mould our young students into problem solvers. The University will offer design workshops for teachers, principals, school counsellors and parents.
Anant’s endeavour in reaching out to schools is to help all stakeholders realise that Design should be offered as a mainstream discipline at schools to leverage the real creative potential of our young demography.
