Anant Fellowship prepares you to make an exponential change within yourself and the society around you. Intense academic rigour has been combined with experiential learning to create an equitable balance between theory and praxis, between instruction and experimentation, and between paced learning and open-ended discovery.
Multidisciplinary
Anant Fellowship is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programme with a special focus on blended learning. Fellows learn from global academics and industry leaders of repute in thematic clusters.
Diversity
Collaborate with a diverse set of Fellows from across the world. The Fellowship provides an immersive experience for Fellows of different nationalities. Fellows from multiple disciplines enrich the learning of the cohort.
Hands-on Learning
The Live-Action Project offered at Anant Fellowship gives Fellows an opportunity to put theory into practice. Fellows work with the community on a diverse set of issues ranging from health, sustainable environment, migrant rights and more.

The Anant Fellowship is curated and designed by experts from the fields of Design, Architecture, Technology, Liberal Arts, and Management. UNESCO Chair Modules
UNESCO Chair offers two flagship modules entitled Safeguarding Intangible Heritage and Sustainable Heritage Development through the Anant Fellowship programme. These modules introduce the Fellows to new perspectives on UNESCO standard-setting instruments. They are interdisciplinary and delivered with capacity building/professional development approaches, given the diverse disciplinary backgrounds of the Fellows.

Live-Action Project
The ‘action’ part of the curriculum, LAP offers hands-on learning to the Fellows by working on live projects on the ground. Working in teams and with help of stakeholders, the Fellows apply their classroom learnings to tackle challenges to the built environment by devising innovative solutions.

Each year our Fellows research, design and develop equitable solutions for various challenges affecting the built environment. The process is designed so Fellows engage with the local community, meet relevant stakeholders and present their ideas to our faculty and other industry practitioners. Following the fellowship, Fellows are invited to develop their projects through Aarambh, AnantU’s Incubation Centre.

The project is an initiative of Rwanda- based Journeyman International (JI), a nonprofit, global platform known for providing architecture, engineering and project management services to humanitarian and development organizations internationally.
The increase in domestic violence and gender-based violence cases in Zimbabwe calls for a need to build a safe place for women/girls who are survivors of such abuses and provide them with temporary shelter. The LAP team will create a conceptual design and fundraising proposal for Precious Hearts Haven, including 2D/3D imagery, technical specifications and case study ideas.
Waste generated from construction and demolition activities remains one of the neglected waste across all Indian cities. Unauthorized disposal of C&D waste leads to undesirable effects on the environment. To better understand the on-ground situation of C&D waste management, Anant Fellows are researching and identifying climate-conscious pathways for C&D waste management in India.
The objective of this study is to explore the potential of briquettes and energy-efficient cookstoves for promoting clean cooking practices in grassroots communities in Nigeria. The fellow will assess the awareness level of clean cooking practices among women in the study area. He will evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of using briquettes and energy-efficient cookstoves in reducing indoor air pollution. Based on the study, he will develop recommendations to promote clean cooking practices in grassroots communities.
The Anant National University Museum (ANUM) will be the first pedagogical museum in India, born from the desire – and need – to diversify the experience on the AnantU campus with spaces that encourage recreation, engagement, exploration and collaboration. The Fellows will develop a methodology for Public Programming with the campus community as primary stakeholders, conduct primary and secondary research and pilot one activity within each domain.
The LAP team proposed a game or toy that can help acquaint preteens and adolescents with their bodies in the context of gender and sexuality. The team wants this game to be a means to inform and engage young kids and others about sex as a biological and social phenomenon.

Prospective Fellows, Alumni, built environment enthusiasts and other new-age thinkers can experience Anant Fellowship through our online web-series. Anant Fellowship Online has been curated by our faculty and programme team to give a glimpse of the modules offered in the programme. The web-series offers the opportunity to interact with our Faculty and Fellows, various international speakers, sustainability and built environment experts, researchers and so on.
