Sahiba Gulati, Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, specialises in architectural theory, urban theory, history, design and research. Her work is particularly focused on the study of mobility, public space, gender and housing. She is keen to expand further and deepen her research practice while contributing to Anant’s academic and intellectual ecosystem.

At Anant, Sahiba’s teaching focuses on the intersection of socio-spatial research and design. She is committed to creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages dialogue, experimentation and reflection, empowering students to recognise their strengths, challenge assumptions and evolve as thoughtful, socially responsive designers.

She holds a Master’s in Architecture from CEPT University with a major in history, theory and criticism and a minor in architecture design. She also has a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture.

Before joining Anant, Sahiba taught extensively at CEPT University and later at NMIMS. She experimented with research and design studios at the intersection of gender, urban public space and architecture. Her innovative pedagogical approach and commitment to critical inquiry earned her the Excellence Award at CEPT University, recognising both her academic impact and dedication to advancing inclusive, context-driven design thinking.

Under her guidance, students earned prestigious recognitions, including the Excellence Award and the Gujral Foundation Scholarship at CEPT University. Their work in her studio further received national recognition through the photo essay competition organised by MySafetyPin, reflecting the depth, relevance and impact of the research and design explorations she fostered.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Sahiba is a creative spirit at heart. She enjoys styling friends and family, delighting in the playful side of fashion. She also loves to cook and experiment in the kitchen, and is an avid reader.
