Priyamwada Singh

Priyamwada Singh is an award-winning architect and the founder of Common Ground practice, New Delhi. She has more than a decade of experience in architecture and design, with work spanning across four continents and 13 countries.

 

Before establishing her practice, she was associated with some of the top architects around the world, including Padma Shri recipient BV Doshi. Her design expertise ranges from master planning to high-rise residential and commercial buildings, museums and public institutions to ‘object’ design. Priyamwada has taught at SPA, Delhi and served on the juries of Columbia University, New York, CEPT, Ahmedabad, SPA, Delhi and Sushant School of Art and Architecture, Gurgaon.

 

Her research interests are the interplay of technologically advanced and traditional techniques and the social and ecological aspects of the built environment. She completed her Bachelor’s in Interior Design at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. After a postgraduate diploma in Art and Architecture from the prestigious Städelschule, Frankfurt, she completed her Master’s at Columbia University in New York, where she received the Kinne Fellowship.
