Dr Siddhartha Koduru, a Professor at the School of Architecture, has over two decades of academic and professional experience. He has worked on research areas and collaborations in the field of Digital and virtual environment development, utilising AR/VR, 3D Printing and its applications in Design as part of the Atal Incubation Cell at Manipal University, Jaipur. He was also instrumental in securing the Consultancy Project for the preparation of a GIS-based Master Plan for the Urban Local Bodies of West Bengal, under Amity University Kolkata.
At Anant, Dr Koduru’s future pursuits lie in promoting a research environment specific to energy studies in the built environment and developing multidisciplinary research profiles across various design disciplines. He continues to advance the inclusion of AR/VR technologies in design pedagogy, design visualisation and emerging design techniques.
He holds a PhD from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, a Master’s in City Planning from IIT Kharagpur and a Bachelor of Architecture from JNTU Hyderabad. A GATE Scholarship awardee, he is also registered with the Council of Architecture and the Institute of Town Planners, India.
Dr Koduru has served in leadership and faculty roles in institutions such as Manipal University, Jaipur and Chitkara University. During his tenure, he has not only been an Academician but also the Director of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Schools at Chandigarh University, Punjab and Amity University Kolkata.
He also acted as Primary Evaluator for ToyCathon 2021, organised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Under his leadership, the Amity School of Architecture and Planning at Amity University Kolkata was awarded 25th Position in the NIRF-2024 Ranking in the Architecture and Planning category.
Beyond academia, Dr Koduru has demonstrated strong leadership since his early years, serving as Vice President (Designee) of the SAP Council at IIT Kharagpur and as General Secretary for Social and Cultural Activities at Vidyasagar Hall of Residence, IIT Kharagpur.
