Dr Kanupriya Taneja, Professor, School of Design, brings over two decades of experience as a design educator, researcher and communication designer. Her research interests in design education and pedagogy have resulted in several publications in international journals and presentations at global conferences.

An alumna of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Dr Taneja holds a PhD in Design Education from Banasthali University. She has been a founding faculty member at both the Institute of Design, Nirma University and Banasthali University, contributing significantly to the establishment and evolution of their design programmes.

Her professional journey includes impactful roles across leading advertising agencies, design studios and media organisations, where she worked on major national and international projects for clients such as Microsoft, Oracle, Airtel, UNICEF and JCPL. Her industry work has earned her multiple international accolades.

Dr Taneja has made notable contributions to design education, serving as a resource person at NCERT for teacher training, developing online courses for in-service professionals and creating content for national-level textbooks.

She has also conducted workshops and delivered guest lectures at esteemed institutions, including the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Amity University, Noida, Nirma Institute of Management and NCERT.

Beyond her academic accomplishments, Dr Taneja is a highly respected mentor whose guidance has led to student projects winning international recognitions and being featured in prominent global publications.
