Congratulations to all our graduands from the Class of 2024. This year, students from the Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Design and Anant Fellowship in Sustainability and Built Environment will be conferred degrees.
Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardee, Member of Parliament - Rajya Sabha, Founder of Infosys Foundation, Chairperson of Murty Trust, Author and Philanthropist, Mrs Sudha Murty, will be the Chief Guest for the ceremony.
Mrs. Murty was born on August 19, 1950, in Shiggaon, North Karnataka. She grew up in a close-knit family with her parents and three siblings. In 1972, Mrs. Murty completed her engineering in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from B.V.B College of Engineering & Technology, Hubli, and in 1974, she completed her masters in computer science from IISc, Bangalore. She was the first woman engineer to be hired at TELCO (now Tata Motors) and worked there for eight long years.

Ensure you follow the University’s dress code for the ceremony and drape the stole in an appropriate fashion.
The last date for registration is 15 October 2024.
Attending the Convocation Ceremony is encouraged. It is not mandatory. The degree certificate will still be conferred in absentia upon those who fulfil the graduation requirements.
If, for some reason, you cannot attend the ceremony, the degree certificate will be sent by post to your correspondence address provided while filling out the registration form within 4-5 weeks. You can also collect the degree certificate from the University with prior notice. Please contact the Examination Department at coe@anu.edu.in.
The degree certificate will be couriered to the address mentioned in the Registration Form.

Yes, each graduand is allowed to invite up to 2 guests for the ceremony.
Guests must take their seats 30 minutes before the start of the Convocation Ceremony.
All graduands are required to adhere to the following dress code:
Male Graduands: Beige Kurta and Pyjama.
Female Graduands: Beige Colour Saree.
The stole for the ceremony will be provided on 22 November 2024. Traditional dress is mandatory and should be worn during the Convocation Ceremony. Comfortable, appropriate footwear is recommended, as there will be much standing and walking at the venue.
Yes, professional photographers will be on-site to capture the entire ceremony. Photographs shall be posted on a shared drive post-ceremony. The entire ceremony will also be live-streamed and recorded.
You must report to the Reporting Desk at 8.30 am, register for the convocation and collect your convocation slip and academic regalia. This will be followed by the rehearsal for the entire Convocation Ceremony, including the Academic Show, Academic Procession, receiving the degree certificate, Academic Retreat Procession, etc.

All the graduands will be required to join the Academic Procession led by the Chief Guest, Board Members, distinguished invitees and faculty members.
After the Convocation Ceremony is over, you will need to join the Academic Retreat Procession.
Yes. However, we request you to keep the phones on silent.
There will be a doctor and nursing staff on duty at the venue. An ambulance service will also be available for an emergency transfer to the nearby hospital.
