Prof. Kulshrestha started his corporate career with Maruti Suzuki in 2005 and worked closelyon strategic projects as part of corporate planning. He moved to EY in 2009, which gave him rich exposure to working with international clients on strategic issues. In 2014, he co-founded an ed-tech company FINSTUDYCLUB into CFA® training which has been the 3 rd Indian member, and 20 th globally, of the prestigious Approved Prep Provider Program of the CFA Institute, USA. His full-time industry experience is close to 12 years. He completed his Chartered Accountancy securing All-India ranks in all the stages. He aced the CFA program® by the CFA Institute, USA and soon after that got his CFA charter. He was 3rd rank holder in B.Com(H) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. He has accomplished global certifications in various specialised fields of finance such as Certified Financial Planner® from FPSB, to handle the nuances of personal finance and Certified Financial Risk Manager® by GARP (USA) in the field of Risk Management. Having learnt management and strategy from IIM Calcutta, he has presented several papers in national conferences and different industry forums/academic conferences. He is pursuing his doctoral fellow program from IIM Rohtak.
Part of academia out of his passion, he conducts professorial assignments at leading B-Schools. He is actively engaged in teaching finance into specialised programs on entrepreneurship, transport and logistics, built environment, social purpose organisations and liberal arts. Having accomplished more than 100 batches for CFA® prep across multiple countries, he loves to develop and deliver courses for different online training programs. He has trained corporates such as ICICI Securities, Sapient Technology, SmartCube, MMTC, Power Grid Corporation, etc. on various topics in capital markets, finance and accounting. He spends considerable time in the startup space assisting investors in scrutinising the proposals and with the startup firms for fundraising, preparation of business accounts, due diligence and other related activities. He is a mentor at incubators such as Atal Incubation Centers by Niti Ayog, Government of India and Nexus, by the US Government.
