Sijo spent two years in the Research & Innovation department of Veolia in Paris. In this role, he was responsible for model development and simulations from conception to delivery for chemical, biophysical, economic and agricultural processes. He also spent a few months working at the Laboratoire analyse et modélisation pour la biologie et l’environnement at Université d’Evry where he studied the initiation to ab initio molecular dynamics simulations and its applications to Li+ (Ar) 6 clusters. His work experience includes a stint at the Laboratoire de Chimie Moléculaire, Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau where he completed an experimental project titled, ‘Activation of small atmospheric molecules by using the lanthanide complexes’. He has a Bachelor’s in Science in Chemistry from St. Stephens College in India; a Master’s in Science in Climate, Land Use and Ecosystem Services, from AgroParisTech, University Paris-Saclay, France; and a Master’s in Science in Molecular Chemistry from University of Paris-Saclay, France.
