Whether crafting art objects, developing functional prototypes, building proof- of-concept models for technology demonstrations, or progressing toward the commercialization of a working product, Makerspace is where innovation meets execution. Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, or similar digital fabrication technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Arduino boards, microcontrollers, and basic programming (C/C++/Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with electronics assembly, soldering, and testing equipment.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Industry or Academia Lab.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Technical Operations
 

  • Operate and manage 3D printers, laser-cutting machines, and other fabrication tools.
  • Provide support in electronics workbench operations, including Arduino boards, sensors, microcontrollers, and basic programming.
  • Assist students, faculty, and lab users in using machines safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot machine errors and guide users in resolving common technical issues.

Administrative Support, Maintenance & Inventory
 

  • Maintain documentation of equipment usage, purchase requests, and maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with departmental reports, records, and communications.
  • Track and manage stocks of consumables, spare parts, and materials used in the lab.
  • Support in scheduling, lab bookings, and coordinating with academic/administrative staff.
