Anant National University, India’s Premier Design University, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

About (Department)

The School of Design at Anant National University houses the Design Disciplines of the University, namely Space Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Sustainable Fashion & Textiles, Moving Image, and Transdisciplinary Design. Apart from these majors, the School also offers a choice of minors in allied fields a few examples being minors in Design for Health & Wellbeing, Furniture Design, Urban Design, etc.The programme educates designers about prevalent global problems and encourages them to propose path-breaking solutions. It facilitates personal development and allows students to explore practical design solutions through learning-by-doing modules.

Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com) or equivalent.

Experience: At least 1 year of Prior experience in academic or administrative support roles is needed.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

    Classroom Infrastructure & Facilities Coordination:
     

  • Ensure operational readiness of classroom facilities, including projectors, electricity, IT support systems, Tag boards, and furniture movements.
  • Liaise with the IT and Facilities team for timely maintenance and issue resolution.
  • Coordination with Career Services:
     

  • Act as a departmental liaison with the Career Services Office for student placements, internships, and portfolio submissions.
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-ups between students and the placement cell.
  • Liaison with Academic Affairs & General Administration:
     

  • Serve as a bridge between the department and Academic Affairs and Administrative Teams for coordination of academic schedules, examination logistics, and departmental needs.
  • Alumni Record Maintenance:
     

  • Maintain and regularly update a structured alumni database for the department.
  • Support alumni engagement initiatives and coordinate communication as needed.
  • Requisition & Payment Documentation:
     

  • Prepare and manage requisition slips, payment notes, and miscellaneous documentation required for departmental purchases or services.
  • Follow up with accounts and procurement for necessary approvals.

Key Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in coordination with various teams.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Familiarity with institutional processes and student-facing responsibilities is desirable.
