About (Department)

The preliminary purpose of the Office of the School of Architecture is to provide administrative support to the faculty and students of the School of Architecture. The major functions of the Office of School of Architecture include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and maintain a curriculum record
  • Maintain a record of workload and course schedule of faculty members
  • Maintain the attendance records of faculty and students
  • Collection of student feedback and provide statistical reports based on the same
  • Provide staff and office support for the Dean, including handling communications, dealing with administrative problems and inquiries, as appropriate
  • Prepare and issue certificates and letters on behalf of the Dean
  • Liaison between the office, faculty, students, and external constituencies on a range of day-to-day issues
  • Collation of results from the faculty members and verification of final results

Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

  • Any graduates, preferably with experience in the Architecture Department
  • 1-2 years in an Architecture Department in an administrative role

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Provide comprehensive staff and office support to the Dean/Head, including managing communications, resolving routine administrative issues, and maintaining the Head’s calendar and appointments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the Dean’s office, faculty, students, and external stakeholders on day-to-day academic and administrative matters.
  • Provide organisation and coordination support for delivery of academic activities (classes, lectures, juries, symposia and conferences) within SoA.
  • Prepare, record, and maintain Minutes of Meetings (MoM) for committees, reviews, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Coordinate, compile, and maintain data and documentation required for the annual Council of Architecture (CoA) inspection and other statutory or accreditation processes.
  • Perform any other academic or administrative tasks assigned by the competent authority/management in alignment with the needs of the School.
