An early starter in organisation development and institution building consultancy practice in India (1980 onwards), he has been consulted by large and small organisations in India and abroad including, the Nanyang Business School Singapore and the Govt. of Dubai. His consultancy focuses on creating and sustaining change for the better. He was a Founder Member of ISISD, Sumedhas as well as its Indian Academy of Organisation Development. He held positions of Board Member ISABS 76-77, Dean and Executive Director ISISD and then Sumedhas. He has conceived an internship programme in OD, has been on the design team as well as a faculty member in it since its inception in 2008. He has been at the forefront of developing the field of Applied Behavioural Science knowledge and practice integrating Indian thought with existential approaches. His work ranges from intervening in large organisation settings to in-depth individual coaching and healing. He is now also a Brian Weiss trained Regression Therapist. Sushanta has been a Visiting Faculty to IIMA (’73 to ’03), NMIMS Mumbai, FLAME Pune, Pearl School of Business Gurgaon, Anant National University, Ahmedabad, Organisation Consultant and Visiting Faculty to National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. In 1999 Sushanta was invited by a group of Chair Professors of Ivy League colleges (incl HBS, Wharton etc.) of USA to design and conduct a Personal and Professional Growth Lab (the current Dean of HBS was one of the participants). Sushanta was accredited as a trainer in the YPO and has been coach to the senior staff at The World Bank from 2007 to 2012. Sushanta’s overarching aim is to generate and foster learning from experience to accelerate evolution and growth, he calls it ‘change by choice(c)’.
