Sumamani is interested in minimising and managing food waste, ever since she founded Imli – an Indian restaurant in the Netherlands, a few years ago. Prior to that Sumamani worked in business analytics and marketing in India and Indonesia. She was a Young India Fellow which got her a Postgraduate Diploma in Liberal Sciences from Ashoka University, New Delhi. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani.
