Shreya is a Research Associate at ISB, working on geodatabase management and geoprocessing of spatial and non-spatial data. She has Master’s degrees from Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts and Delhi School of Economics, India. Her core areas of expertise are ESRI ArcGIS, Quantum GIS, ERDAS, Idrisi Taiga, GeoDa, aerial and satellite imagery interpretation and classification. At Clark University, her Master’s specialization was in Geographic Information for Development and Environment and her thesis was a study on the relationship between income and poverty and diabetes, cancer and AIDS death cases in Massachusetts. She also studied the changes in the spatial and temporal patterns by race and income from 2000-2008 in Massachusetts. She comes with six years of work experience.
