Sharmila Sagara holds a Master’s degree in Sculpture from Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Vadodara. She has headed the Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmedabad before joining CEPT University as an Associate professor. She is also the founding faculty of the Master’s programme in Art, Design and Communication at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, CEPT University. Later she joined Ahmedabad University to develop a liberal arts programme. She has a teaching experience of more than 25 years at both an undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Professor Sharmila has conducted talks at several institutes on her research on ‘Travel of an Idea: Metaphysical State to Material State’ as well her edited publication ‘Ahmedabad 600: Portraits of a city’, MARG publication. She has also contributed her critical reviews in art magazines and newspapers.

Sharmila Sagara is an Associate Professor at Anant National University.
