Sangramsinh Parmar, Ahmedabad-based architect and urban planner, pursued his postgraduation in Urban Planning from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University and graduation in Architecture from CEPT University. He is also a LEED (USGBC) and India Green Building Council Accredited (IGBC) professional.

Sangramsinh Parmar has been involved in architecture and interior design practice for almost two decades and is also actively involved in academics and research for a decade. His design practice focusses on sustainability and accessibility of design – for projects across all strata of the economy and society. As an academician, he has been on the jury of prominent institutes like NID, CEPT, APIED, Nirma University, et al. Though he believes in the ‘old school’ rigours of accurate drawings and expressive hand sketches, Parmar also likes to explore new methods for teaching design.

Sangramsinh Parmar has authored and published several research papers in the field of sustainability, biophilia and integrated design approach. Most recently, he has been developing innovative lateral technological adaptations that integrate the built environment’s lifecycle with digital tools, operational data and IoT applications. An expert on Green Buildings and Sustainability, Parmar served as a speaker for various institutes and organisations. He is also actively involved in the local chapter of IGBC and contributes to promoting sustainability practices amongst school children.
