Sabine R. Huebner is Professor of Ancient History at the University of Basel in Switzerland and the Director of the Basel Climate Science & Ancient History Lab. She has published more than a dozen books with prestigious publishers such as Cambridge University Press on the social, religious, and cultural life of the Ancient Greek and Roman World. She is currently leading as PI a 4-year interdisciplinary research project examining the link between climate change, pandemics, and societal change in antiquity funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
