Dr Vandana Vasudevan is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. She had a long corporate career in leading banks and media companies and took a mid-career diversion to the area of urban development. She acquired a Masters in Urbanism and a PhD in urban mobility from the University of Grenoble, France. Her thesis was on the mobility of urban mothers. She has since then been a consultant with IFC, Washington and works with World Resources Institute India as a Senior Fellow. She is the author of two non-fiction books and numerous articles in Indian dailies.
