Dr Angelo Gurgel

Research scientist

Angelo is a research scientist at the MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change. He has been developing applied research on climate policy, climate change, land-use changes, bioenergy, agricultural and environmental economics. He has 15 years of experience as a professor at the Sao Paulo School of Economics, Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV), Brazil, and the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has a Ph.D. in Applied Economics and a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Viçosa in Brazil.
