Dhara Dave

Dhara has over eight years of experience in teaching, freelance artistry and art content writing. She was the site manager of ‘To Let the World In’ at Art Chennai, 2012. She has been part of many group shows and a two-man show, ‘Perceiving the Intangible’, which was largely covered by the state print and electronic media. She has presented and published research papers and won Best Paper Award at SBE-II, International Conference at IIT – Roorkee, Feb-2017. Ms. Dave has studied B.V.A. (Sculpture), Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Baroda and M.V.A. (Art History and Aesthetics), M. S. University, Baroda. At AnantU, she is a faculty for Visual Arts and History, and is largely involved with the foundation batches. Major courses taught by her are ‘Visualization and Representation’, ‘Basic Design’ and ‘History of Architecture’. She has taught in different disciplines like Fine Arts and Interior Design in architecture institutes. She has been coordinator for foundation year for B.Arch. and B.Id. and has coordinated and conducted electives and workshops on various subjects. She has coordinated and participated actively in organising the events and students’ activities taking place in the university. She has led the Sketching Club of Students and supported them for creating installations among other undertakings. Dhara has contributed in designing the curriculum for History and subjects related to visual arts. Dhara Dave is an Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture, Anant National University, and has been associated with the university for the last six years.
