Amit Gotecha pursued his postgraduation in Planning from CEPT University and graduation in Architecture from Indubhai Parekh School of Architecture, Rajkot.

An architect and urban planner, Amit, has over ten years of experience in spatial and research-based architecture and urban planning projects. His architectural projects range from single residential apartments to residential townships. The spatial planning projects include preparation of Development Plans, Master Plans and Town Planning Schemes for Special Investment Regions and urban areas across India. They also include water-front based urban design and street design projects and preparation of development control regulations for urban areas.

Amit’s research-based projects include reviews of housing policies of Gujarat, preparation of Plan of Action for Housing for All, manuals for preparation of Development Plan, Town Planning Schemes and Local Area Plans for Gujarat. He also provided technical support in the preparation of Land Pooling Policy for Bihar.

Amit is also involved with academics for more than five years and teaches urban insert and urban design-related subjects and studios. He also guides final year students on their architectural thesis. Amit Gotecha is Adjunct Associate Professor at Anant National University.
