Amer is the Partner / Chief Client Officer of ‎VALUEworks AG. He provides holistic values-based advice on client wealth and strategic investment consulting to Valueworks’ key clients on their banking and private equity investments. Valueworks AG was founded in Zurich, Switzerland, is a fully independent multi-family office serving global families. They have developed a unique holistic, values-based approach to investments.

Prior to joining Valueworks, Amer spent over five years at Rothschild Bank serving international clients with a focus on entrepreneurs and global families. He originally moved to Zurich in 2010 to join a multi-family office where he was responsible for all merchant banking. Amer started his career in London, where for almost a decade he was advising entrepreneurs and family businesses on private equity and M&A at First Capital and direct investments at First Ventures.

Amer studied Manufacturing and Management at Cambridge University as a post-graduate and earned a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce with Japanese from Birmingham University, which included a year on scholarship to Japan. He holds a Diploma in Accounting and Finance (ACCA) and an Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from the CFA Institute.

He grew up in Kenya and is a keen cycler and open water swimmer. On the weekends, Amer can be found stand-up paddling or cooking.
