About the Speaker
“About the speaker: Dr Namrata Gupta works on gender and science, focusing on women scientists and engineers in academia and research laboratories of India. She has authored a book titled, ‘Women in Science and Technology: Confronting Inequalities’, published by SAGE (2020); and has several publications in reputed journals to her credit, including those in collaboration with renowned international researchers. She is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the journal, ‘Work, Employment and Society (SAGE)’; was on the Editorial Board of a UNESCO publication on women in science, released in 2022; and has been invited to the international NSF-funded workshops.
The talk is organised as part of the series, ‘The Scholarly Life’, that comes under the ambit of the Research Masters- PhD programme at Anant National University. The series is convened by Dr Ashima Sood, Associate Professor and Co-Director, Centre of Urbanism and Cultural Economics and Dr Aditya Parekh, Assistant Professor, School of Design.
