School of Architecture, in collaboration with Wadiyar Center for Architecture (WCFA), Mysore initiated monsoon lecture series 2021 titled ‘One book. One project’. Speakers from various creative disciplines will reflect on a book and a project that impacted their way of thinking or influenced their work.
Join us for a lecture on ‘Places and people: Paintings’ by Padma Bhushan Gulam Mohammed Sheikh on 20th October 2021, Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
Gulam Mohammed Sheikh is an internationally renowned artist and writer. A key figure in contemporary arts, Sheikh’s works draws from Asian cultural traditions such as Mughal, Rajasthani and Pahari, and are inspired by Bhakti and Sufi traditions. His creations offer a window to his memories, historical and mythological references and the universal experience of being human.
Organised as part of the monsoon lecture series 2021 ‘One book. One project’, it’s an initiative of the School of Architecture, in collaboration with Wadiyar Center for Architecture (WCFA), Mysore.
