207 students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Design, Architecture and Fellowship in Built Environment and Climate Action received degrees at the fourth convocation ceremony held on the 4th of November 2022 at the varsity Campus. 22 awards of excellence were also given to top-of-the-class students.
Padma Bhushan N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Mr Ajay Piramal, President of Anant National University and Chairman of Piramal Group, along with Dr Anunaya Chaubey, Provost, AnantU, remained present at the occasion along with AnantU community comprising board members, faculty members, graduating students, parents and staff.
The campus became alive with student exhibits all over the university spaces. Product innovations, creative arts such as paintings, paper mâché masks and origami, fashion ensembles, indigenous craftwork, urban-design projects and installations added to the festive fervour.
N. Chandrasekaran congratulating the graduates said, “You are in a unique place, and this institute has really hit upon some of the key skills required because I believe that design, architecture and arts are the most critical disciplines required to build any modern nation”.
Mr Ajay Piramal wished the graduating batch success and said, ” As you step out of the institution, you must remember to take the institution with you into the world you will be operating in. Whatever you have learnt here will be used in the procession you will be practising on the ground. The reputation you build for yourself will build the reputation of the institution, and your reputation will depend on the impact you make and the solution you find for the community”.
Dr Anunaya Chaubey, during his address to the graduating batch talked about AnantU’s journey and how students play an important role in it. Congratulating students on their feat, he said, “Graduates have a big responsibility now because thay have to set an example for the young ones to follow, write an example that the university would be proud of, an example that would be an inspiration for everybody”.
