The project focused on Re-imagining Public Library, by understanding typological shifts of public libraries for enhanced public engagement. In an era marked by rapid urbanization, digital transformation, and shifting patterns of public interaction, the traditional identity of the public library is undergoing a profound evolution. By examining the spatial typologies of libraries and the social dynamics of third places, the study investigates how design can transform libraries into multi-functional, inclusive, and participatory spaces. This thesis envisions a public library model that is spatially adaptive, socially engaging, and contextually rooted—a library that thrives not only as an educational facility but as a shared urban experience—repositioned within the context of commercial urban environments.
