Radha Bhatt, a Bachelor of Architecture Graduate of the Class of 2024, explores the concept of context in architecture.
The objective was to address various definitions of Context in architecture. Under the mentorship of Prof Shivangi Singh Parmar, Assistant Professor, School of Architecture, Radha addresses Context from its various definitions and nuances, including the seemingly absent ones, erased or abandoned from contemporary discussions.
Radha’s thesis attempts to generate a new sense of criticality towards the layered entity of CONTEXT through the shadowed lenses of domains (social, political, culture, ecological, visual, technology, etc.), which help to weave a larger and holistic picture.
