Manal Jain, a Bachelor of Architecture Graduate of the Class of 2024, explores the importance of grids in architectural designs.
The objective was to understand the grids in various architectural designs. Under the mentorship of Prof Ashish Tiwari, Associate Professor, School of Architecture, Manal studied the presence of the grids in the designs of Vitruvian and Palladio.
Hailing from Ahmedabad, Manal’s thesis aims to understand why the grid is used as one of the basic tools in designing spaces.
