Moxa Shah, a Bachelor of Architecture Graduate of the Class of 2024, explores the relationship between body, space and movement.
The objective was to understand how human movement shapes space. Under the mentorship of Prof Neha Nair, Assistant Professor, School of Architecture, Moxa explored the influence of human movement on architectural design by examining concepts from pioneers like Frank and Gilbreth, Muybridge, and Laban.
Focusing on hip-hop’s evolution in Dharavi, Mumbai, Moxa’s thesis highlights how dynamic dance movements can inform architectural layouts, encouraging social interactions and community space usage.
