Suhas Toshniwal, an Assistant Professor at Anant National University, is an expert in Solar Passive Architecture and Energy Simulation. He has made significant contributions to various projects, such as those for IIT-Gandhinagar, IIM-Udaipur, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Education Hub, Diu and the Medical Hospital, Aurangabad, showcasing his skills and commitment to sustainable design.

At Anant, Suhas channels his enthusiasm for Solar Passive Design Architecture into his teaching. He leads critical modules by drawing from his real-world experience as an architect to educate students on Building Construction Technology, Architecture Design Studio and Working Drawing Studio. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Suhas is also the In-Charge Deputy Controller of Examination at the university, overseeing the smooth functioning of examination-related matters. His dual role allows him to contribute to students’ academic growth and the administrative efficiency of the institution.

Suhas earned a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, building upon his foundation of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Pune University. His academic journey has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable architectural principles, enabling him to contribute effectively to environmentally conscious design practices.

Before joining Anant, Suhas was an Energy Analyst at dbHMS India. His professional background spans various facets of the construction and green building sectors, showcasing his diverse expertise. He possesses specialised knowledge in several areas, including solar passive architecture, energy-efficient building practices, sustainable building materials, water efficiency, renewable energy integration, acoustic performance optimisation and interior design. His broad skill set and experience make him a valuable asset in advancing sustainable and environmentally conscious practices within the industry.

Outside of his academic endeavours, Suhas Toshniwal finds joy in travelling and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. He also likes to explore new technologies and delve into investment opportunities, all while drawing inspiration from motivational narratives.
