Dr Dhara Thakore has worked with the Rashtriya Rakhsha University, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, where she was involved in transfer of technology to MSMEs from the Naval Innovation Organisation, development of incubation and acceleration programmes, setting up of the Atal Incubation Centre for Homeland Security as well as fostering partnerships with Venture and Angel Funds and CSR funds (HDFC Bank). She has developed a dedicated programme WINS (Women Innovators in National Security) while at the organisation.
She was the Project Lead for Student Startup and Innovation Policy, GoG, involved in the implementation of the policy objectives in Universities. She has been involved in setting up of Incubation centers and development of Action agenda and key milestones for SSIP grantee universities. She has also served as the Project Manager, i-Hub, Incubator of Government of Gujarat for University and Government engagements and fostering partnership with Industries/Industries Association, academia, incubation centres, MSMEs and other relevant stakeholders. She has worked on several flagship programmes of the Incubator.
During her experience as an academician, she received State Government Grant for the project of Inventorisation of Biomedical waste in Gujarat State from GEMI (Gujarat Energy Management Institute), July 2016-17. She has been invited for various lectures on Industrial biotechnology through SANDHAN (All Gujarat Integrated Classroom) is an initiative by OCHE (Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education) and KCG (Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat), Department of Education-Government of Gujarat.
