Chairman of Piramal Group Mr Ajay Piramal, a leading industrialist, a philanthropist and the President of Anant National University, visited the varsity campus on 5th May 2022.
Recipient of numerous international and national accolades, Mr Piramal has revolutionised the pharmaceutical, financial services and real estate sector with responsible entrepreneurial qualities. He holds key positions on the Boards of several companies and prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School’s Board of Dean’s Advisors, Tata Sons Ltd. and many others.
During his visit to the university, Mr Piramal witnessed the works of AnantU faculty members and staff put up as part of the exhibition. Our students displayed their works conceived as part of the related study programme and other studio courses across disciplines.
He also launched the Digital Institute Repository at the Learning Commons during his visit to AnantU. The official repository comprises records of the origin, history, development and activities of the institute’s events, research, academic, administrative and other units since inception. Furthermore, it allows researchers to access numerous resources. Anant faculty, staff and students can access these records at their convenience.
Mr Piramal along with Provost Dr Anunaya Chaubey and other senior leaders, toured the AnantU campus. He visited the entire campus and various amenities at the university, including learning commons, fashion lab, makerspace, clay studio, tinkering lab, student housing, gymnasium, classrooms, computer labs and multipurpose hall. He also interacted with various stakeholders, including faculty members and staff on improvement of facilities and bring innovation in education sector.
The day concluded with AnantU students interacting with Mr Ajay Piramal, where he answered questions about the university, its ethos, his experience and life lessons, entrepreneurial ventures and advice, among other things.
