Thomas Sebastian, a Graduate of the Class of 2024 with Interaction Design as major and Product Design as minor, designs a crash detection device for motorcycles.
The objective was to create a crash detection device for motorcycles to assist riders in emergency situations automatically. Under the mentorship of Prof Parth Raval, Assistant Professor, School of Design, Thomas designed an innovative device that was engineered to endure severe impacts, heat and pressure, and autonomously send SOS signals to emergency services, providing accurate GPS coordinates of the rider’s location.
Hailing from Chennai, Thomas designed the user interface of the accompanying application, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for riders.
