An Off-Grid Mobile EV Charging Station - Voltaic
Krithick J, a Graduate of the Class of 2024 with Product Design as major and Graphic Design as minor, designs an off-grid mobile EV charging station – Voltaic.
The objective was to address the challenges of limited charging infrastructure in remote and urban areas. Under the mentorship of Prof Bhaskar Bhatt, Associate Professor, School of Design, Krithick designed an off-grid mobile EV charging station named Voltaic, which was integrated into a robust pickup truck to serve the purpose.
Hailing from Chennai, Krithick aims to overcome the limitations of stationary charging stations, particularly in emergencies, events and locations with restricted access to fixed infrastructure.
