Barnabas J Thomas, a Graduate of the Class of 2024 with Product Design as major and Graphic Design as minor, designs a robotics kit that illustrates the principles of Robotics.
Tesseract Robotics, a startup under IIT Gandhinagar, wanted to design a kit that could simplify in illustrating the principles of Robotics. Under the mentorship of Prof Milind Chitale, Associate Professor, School of Design and Director, Makerspace and sponsored by Tesseract Robotics, Barnabas designed a robotics kit that effectively communicated the principles of robotics to serve the purpose.
Hailing from Kerala, Barnabas explored the challenges of robotics and developed an efficient design that considered manufacturing, technological and financial targets.
