Aanya Jain

Aanya Jain, a Graduate of the Class of 2024 with Space Design as major and Furniture Design as minor, designs the notion of a modern home in a global society.

The objective was to explore the modern homes which have been occupied by the same families for generations and develop new ones. Under the mentorship of Prof Aditi Vashisht, Assistant Professor, School of Design, Aanya developed the notion of a modern home in a global society, which explores Western influences on Mumbai’s evolving home aesthetics and community living to serve the purpose.

Hailing from Mumbai, Aanya did thorough research, and her findings revealed how cultural shifts towards nuclearisation and individualism, along with advancements in technology, have altered home layouts and aesthetics

Currently, Aanya is working at Rooshad Shroff Architects in Mumbai.
