Anant National University, India’s first DesignX university, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

About Media & Communication:

Media and Communication office is responsible for all communication, textual and visual, that the University carries out in its name. It leads to develop the University as a brand in the design education space, communicate developments in the university through various platforms like newsletter, mass media, conduct effective public relations, be the custodian of all communication that is carried out in the name of the university.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Review, organize, and manage raw footage from university events, ensuring efficient documentation and access.
  • Edit, colour correct, and enhance audio for videos as per brand guidelines.
  • Incorporate appropriate transitions, text overlays, music, and motion graphics to create engaging content.
  • Collaborate with the Manager – Marketing and Branding, to develop video content tailored for various platforms, including social media, website, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and visual storytelling across all videos.
  • Optimize video formats for different digital platforms (Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the Visual Content Creator to ensure timely access to required footage.
  • Occasionally assist in video shoots, ensuring high-quality footage capture when needed.
  • Keep up with video trends, storytelling techniques, and editing innovations to enhance content impact.

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve and After Effects (for motion graphics).
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and shot selection.
  • Experience with colour correction, grading, and audio enhancement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic academic environment
  • Knowledge of social media video formats, aspect ratios, and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of camera operations and lighting (preferred).
