About Anant National University

Anant National University, India’s first DesignX university, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

About Media & Communication:

Media and Communication office is responsible for all communication, textual and visual, that the University carries out in its name. It leads to develop the University as a brand in the design education space, communicate developments in the university through various platforms like newsletter, mass media, conduct effective public relations, be the custodian of all communication that is carried out in the name of the university.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal stakeholders for inputs on media stories

Stories and Narratives: Help curate stories that raise the profile of the University Collaborate with Offices, Faculty, designers and creative teams for PR Content

Agency Management: Support in managing the agency and its agreed deliverables.

Media Database: Prepare and maintain Editor/ Journalist Database covering Regional, National media across Print, TV, Digital (including Podcasts) relevant to the University

Performance Metrics: Help build data driven metrics for PR insights/ effectiveness Assist the Lead PR in internal and external Outreach

Areas of Expertise/Skills

  • Possess strong understanding of Editorial/ Newsroom workings across Print, TV, Digital, etc.
  • Must have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Should have strong news sense, and ability to prepare pitches
  • Have demonstrated ability to multi-task in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Must have a proven track of commitment to project deadlines
  • Must be well-versed with writing forms such as News, Features, Anchors, Comments, etc.
  • Must have a high degree of Customer Orientation
