The Anant School for Climate Action at Anant National University, Ahmedabad, stands as India&’s pioneering institution dedicated to climate education. The school offers comprehensive sustainability-focused programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In 2022, the school launched a distinctive four-year B.Tech. program with a specialized focus on climate change. This program is currently the only four-year engineering degree program in India that empowers students to specialize in developing cutting-edge climate technologies for both mitigation and adaptation purposes.

  1. Laboratory Setup and Maintenance:
    1. Ensure proper setup and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments.
    2. Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals and laboratory supplies.
    3. Assist in the preparation of reagents and solutions for experiments.
  2. Safety Compliance:
    1. Enforce safety protocols and procedures within the laboratory environment.
    2. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure adherence to safety guidelines by students and faculty members.
    3. Address and report any safety concerns or hazards promptly.
  3. Experiment Assistance:
    1. Provide assistance to faculty members and students during chemistry experiments and practical sessions.
    2. Assist in data collection, recording observations, and analysis of experimental results.
    3. Troubleshoot technical issues with laboratory equipment and instruments.
  4. Instrument Calibration and Troubleshooting:
    1. Calibrate laboratory instruments such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, and chromatography equipment.
    2. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
    3. Coordinate repairs and maintenance with external service providers as necessary.
  5. Documentation and Record-keeping:
    1. Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, experiments, and equipment maintenance.
    2. Ensure proper documentation of chemical inventory, including usage and expiration dates.
    3. Organize and archive laboratory data and documentation for easy retrieval.
  6. Training and Supervision:
    1. Provide training and supervision to students and junior lab assistants in laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
    2. Assist in the orientation of new laboratory staff and students.
    3. Foster a culture of safety and professionalism within the laboratory environment.
