About Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar seeks to provide a seamless academic experience for the diverse body of students, faculty, and staff. In consonance with prescribed regulatory provisions, it establishes, maintains, and constantly improves the processes and practices that revolve around student and faculty records and related administrative services.

The Office of the Registrar is the central administrative unit working in cooperation with faculties and departments to administer undergraduate, graduate and diploma programmes, prepares data and analyses it for internal groups, and submits data to various government and external agencies.

Experience of at least 15 years of which at least 3 years as Head of a Department in a University/Head of IQAC in national and international organizations.

Required Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Post Graduate from a reputed institution/university, & Doctoral degree from globally reputed institution (Preferable)

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • To constitute IQAC and ensure its smooth and effective functioning.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the University
  • Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes and suggest and implement solutions-based feedback from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
  • To coordinate other quality aspects of the University and ensure their timely review.
  • To ensure clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.
  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education
  • To provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
  • To build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.
  • Development of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the Schools / University based on the quality parameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body (like NAAC, NBA, etc) in the prescribed format.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the University to coordinate quality-related activities, including adopting and disseminating good practices.
  • To coordinate the timely and efficient execution of the decisions of the IQAC committee.
  • Organisation of inter and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related themes and promotion of quality circles and ensure implementation of COEs, Research Faculty Publications etc.
  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the University, leading to quality improvement.
  • Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS to maintain/enhance institutional quality.
  • Bi-annual development of Quality Radars (QRs) and Ranking of Integral units of university based on the AQAR.
  • Constitution and Interaction with Student Quality Assurance Cell (SQACs) in the pre and post-accreditation quality assessment, sustenance and enhancement endeavours.
  • Facilitate new collaborations, industry interface, student outreach, etc.
  • To work closely with the Office of Registrar for Accreditations, Rankings and Ratings and other data submissions.

Key Skills

  • A senior academician experienced in handling IQAC activities, setting quality standards, measuring deliverables, compiling reports for accreditation and documentation; preferably has been an expert member in peer committees of accreditation agencies (NAAC/NBA/ ABET).
  • Proven skills in managing research and development teams working across disciplines.
  • Ability to develop inter-department collaborations.
  • Understanding of and support for appropriate technology integration in an academic and research setting.
  • The ability to elevate Quality Levels at Anant National University.
  • Strong team leadership and communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities and analytical skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • An ability to develop and implement strategies to address long-term opportunities.
