Anant National University, India’s first DesignX university, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

PhD or Master’s degree in Chemical engineering, Climate Science, Environmental Studies, Sustainability or a related field. Prior teaching and research experience is preferred.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Associate Academic Director, AFCA (Anant Fellowship for Climate Action)
 

  • Curriculum development & delivery: Lead the academic design, structure, and implementation of the AFCA curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry and research trends in climate action.
  • Faculty coordination: Collaborate with faculty members, guest lecturers, mentors, and industry experts to ensure high-quality instruction.
  • Programme governance: Liaise with university leadership and governance bodies for programme approvals, accreditation processes, and quality assurance measures.
  • Admissions & fellow engagement: Support the admissions process by engaging with prospective fellows, conducting interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Impact measurement: Assess and enhance programme effectiveness through fellow feedback, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement measures.

 
Assistant Professor, ASCA (Anant School for Climate Action)
 

  • Course instruction: Teach core and elective courses in chemical, materials science, climate studies, sustainability, or related disciplines within ASCA.
  • Student mentorship: Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and research supervision to BTech in Climate Change students.
  • Research & publications: Conduct research at the Anant Centre for Sustainability.
  • Interdepartmental collaboration: Work closely with other schools at Anant National University to drive interdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange.

 
Research & publications, ACFS (Anant Centre for Sustainability)
 

  • Research grant: Seek and obtain a minimum of 1 external grant for research during each Academic Year.
  • Publications: Publish at least 2 publications in a SCI/SCOPUS-indexed journal during each Academic Year.
  • Conferences: Represent the university at a minimum of 1 conference in India and present at least 1 paper at any international conference.
  • Projects: Participate in a minimum of 2 research projects at ACFS during each Academic Year.
  • Institution building: Initiate and lead a minimum of 1 project in collaboration between ACFS and the School of Architecture or School of Design at Anant, during each Academic Year.
