Anant National University, India’s Premier Design University, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.
Our DesignX way is unique in helping young designers develop a better understanding of the context we live in through community immersion, innovation and collaboration. The core of our pedagogy is sustainable design multiplied by a host of knowledge disciplines and technology to make problem solving impactful. Our multidisciplinary undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in design, architecture, climate action and visual arts harness the knowledge from various disciplines and traditional practices to integrate it with cutting edge technology to address diverse challenges.
The incubation center at Anant National University is named as Aarambh. The incubation center is set up with the objective of promoting the entrepreneurship culture in and around the campus. This is done by offering various platforms to budding entrepreneurs where they can experiment their business ideas, get mentorship from recognised entrepreneurs, interact with investors, government as well non-government agencies and create their own organisation/enterprise. With these objectives, the vision of Aarambh is “To be the most preferred destination for our students/ budding entrepreneurs to use Design Thinking for solving societal problems with a long term impact”
Along with the vision, the mission of the incubation center is to “To build the ecosystem for aspiring entrepreneurs to use design thinking as the pathway for creating opportunities and resolving the concerns of the society. We envision our participants to build and implement feasible and probable ideas into actual business entities that are not only equitable but also provide sustainable solutions for India and the world”
The centre aims to creating opportunities through interactive sessions with professionals, providing a link between several stakeholders starting from students (aspiring and existing entrepreneur) to government authorities, working professionals, mentors, angel investors, venture capital firms and corporates through initiatives like interactive sessions, competitions, conferences, financing etc. This would not only add value to the entrepreneur but also can make an impact to the society at large. This would nurture entrepreneurial thinking, promote business knowledge and inculcate confidence in every student
