Devanshi Raval

Devanshi Raval, a Graduate of the Class of 2024 with Sustainable Fashion and Textile Design as a major and Product Design as a minor, designs contemporary, purposeful and handcrafted garments with individual narratives.

RaasLeela Textile wanted to make artisans feel deeply connected to their work by creating such new collections. Under the mentorship of Prof Anoli Ruia, Adjunct Assistant Faculty, School of Design and sponsored by RaasLeela Textile, Devanshi developed ‘Stitched Stories’, a mapping into an artisan journey to serve the purpose.

Hailing from Ahmedabad, Devanshi’s collections, ‘Ulat-Sulat’, features multi-functional designs inspired by Japanese silhouettes and ‘Humsafar’ is visually inspired by maps, where every stitch tells a unique story of each artisan working at RaasLeela.

Currently, Devanshi is working with Thread Game, a fashion-conscious brand based in Ahmedabad.
