About Anant National University

Anant National University, India’s first DesignX university, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

Our DesignX way is unique in helping young designers develop a better understanding of the context we live in through community immersion, innovation and collaboration. About MakerSpace

MakerSpace is the university’s experimental lab where students, faculty and incubators can convert and experiment ideas to Prototypes. It has a wide range of possibilities including: woodworking, Laser Cutting and etching; electronics and embedded technology; fabrication and assembly of prototype parts in metal, plastic and wood etc. We have all basic and some advanced equipment to handle such projects. We also have a nifty Electronics Workbench for embedding some smart technology into project outcomes.

Required Education qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or post graduate in Product / Space / Interaction Design from Anant National University
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Technology under the Mechanical / Mechatronics background from recognized universities
  • Diploma in Engineering with Mechanical / Mechatronics from recognized institutes with demonstrated hands-on experience in technical tinkering

Years of Experience:

0-2 years

Contractual tenure:

From 3 months to 1-year renewable contract basis

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Work under assigned Mentor / Faculty / Project supervisor towards successful prototype and Proof of Concept creation
  • Conduct experimental studies on techniques / methods / ideas to achieve lateral thinking outcomes using existing equipment
  • Compile information related to the assigned tasks that enable sharing and documentation of the related projects including 3D models; Technical Drawings and concept rendering; presentation materials relevant to project assigned
  • Regular reporting and update to assigned supervisor / mentor on work related agenda
  • Once in a while (not as a regular duty) assistance in teach out by way of creating relevant notes, spreadsheet for marking and attendance for mentoring Faculty

Key Skills:

  • Prototyping in wood, plastics, metal and various boards
  • 3D modelling on industry accepted software, rendering on computer and by hand
  • Basic Arduino / Pi etc abilities or simple electronics skills ( soldering, bread-board circuits etc)
  • Creation of presentations / posters related to assigned work outcomes and updates
