Pawan Raj is a communications and outreach professional with a passion for connecting organisations with their audiences to create meaningful impact. Currently serving as Assistant Manager – Admissions and Outreach at the Anant Fellowship in Sustainability and Built Environment, Pawan specialises in crafting and implementing strategic outreach initiatives that amplify institutional impact and attract the right talent.
With a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, complemented by the Anant Fellowship, Pawan brings a unique blend of creativity and analytics to his work. He has a proven track record of driving social and behavioural change through strategic policy design and community engagement.
His notable contributions include successfully developing a social and behavioral change policy for the residents of Diu, which was published in Unbuilding Architecture and presented at the prestigious Singapore International Water Week 2024. As part of his Live-Action Project at Anant Fellowship, Pawan collaborated with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation – School Board to activate constitutionally mandated School Management Committees, fostering greater parental and community involvement in government schools.
His expertise extends to interdisciplinary projects, such as proposing innovative modernisation strategies for museum signages at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal. Drawing from a rich professional background as a media professional, Pawan’s work demonstrates a deep understanding of public relations, social media consulting, and cross-cultural dynamics.
Outside of professional pursuits, Pawan is an avid learner. His scholarly interests range from body language and ancient Indian history to international relations and contemporary issues. A creative spirit, he also delves into photography, visual design, filmmaking, and writing, enriching his holistic approach to communication.
Milestones like leading initiatives at ICFFI-2015, the National Environment Summit, and the National Children Science Congress have marked Pawan’s journey. Guided by a philosophy of mindfulness, he channels his energies through yoga, meditation, and storytelling, embodying his belief in lifelong learning and purposeful action.
