Atik Sheikh is working at PwC India as a Senior Consultant in the sustainability and climate change division.

Atik has more than eight years of experience in managing and execution of national and international level projects in the domain of energy management, resource efficiency, lifecycle assessment, cleaner production and climate change mitigation. Previously, he was the Counsellor – Energy Efficiency & Climate Change at Confederation of Indian Industry’s Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre in Hyderabad.

Atik has worked on various projects in cross-cutting areas of energy efficiency, resource efficiency, green Industry and low carbon development which were supported by various national and international organisations. He has also worked with industry from various sectors on net-zero roadmaps, energy efficiency, low carbon development and capacity development programs. Atik has also worked with the State Government of Odisha, Meghalaya, Telangana and Tamil Nadu on the development of state-level low carbon development plans.

He has co-authored two research papers— ‘Sustainability Encouraging Mechanism – the way after 2012’ and ‘Appraising Energy Efficiency Projects’. He is also an amateur runner and cyclist and an active member of a local NGO – Robinhood Army which focuses on eliminating hunger among the underprivileged.

He has a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Energy and Environment from Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune.and a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from Nirma University Ahmedabad.
