Abhishek Kumar Choubey pursued his postgraduation in photography from National Institute of Design (NID) and University of Creative Arts (UCA), Farnham. He pursued his graduation in Fine Arts with specialisation in painting from Patna University.

Abhishek Choubey has served as a visiting faculty at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Maharaja Ranjitsinh Gaekwad Institute of Design (MRID), Vadodara and Banasthali Institute of Design (BID), where he taught product photography, fashion photography, film and video, and printing techniques.

Additionally, he has also worked as a professional photographer/filmmaker for prestigious organisations like UNFPA, UNICEF, Save the Children, Bihar Bal Bhawan, Department of Human Recourse development, Government of Bihar, among many others.

Abhishek believes that photographs and videos are tools for social and behavioural changes. His major work in teaching included participatory projects, carried out with the children and young people of Bihar (India). These projects aimed at investigating how one can leverage photography/videos to spread awareness in the society, especially among children and introduce them to the history and culture of the place they belong too.

Currently, Abhishek Choubey is an Assistant Professor at Anant National University.
