Naman Bhavsar, a Bachelor of Architecture Graduate of the Class of 2024, explores the convergences between cinema and architecture.
The objective was to understand how cinema and architecture can shape visual and spatial narratives. Under the mentorship of Prof Poonam Jolly, Visiting Faculty, School of Architecture, Naman explored the convergences between cinema and architecture by viewing architecture through a cinematic lens.
Hailing from Ahmedabad, Naman’s research examines architects such as Le Corbusier, Rem Koolhaas and Bernard Tschumi, who use cinematic principles of body, space and movement in their designs.
